Non-regulated company store monopolies haven't existed in a century outside the 3 consoles and 2 mobile companies. I still maintain that the idea of the walled garden monopolies is a relic of an ancient time that was simply an oversight in law. (Nintendo's the exception since their prices never drop but at least with vouchers it's $50 at launch which is a unique launch day I'm really hoping the post-Apple smackdown in EU affects all these walled garden digital storefronts. I'm at the point based on principal, finances, and backlog I won't touch a game for over $45 ever. Hoping it comes down to at least 30-40% Black Friday. Pretty dismal sale, but it's a major game so it's not surprising. If you already own Hogwarts Legacy, it's also worth noting that the Dark Arts Pack is discounted by 20%, featuring the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set and Dark Arts Battle Arena for £14.39 / $15.99. Of course, it's still a pretty expensive game at those prices, but don't forget that you can use your Microsoft Rewards points to make the purchase even cheaper, along with any existing Xbox credit you may have.
